Kara graduated from Central Community College Hasting with an Associates degree in dental hygiene in 2011 and the Community College of Denver with a Bachelors degree in dental hygiene in 2023.

Kara is very passionate about helping patients understand the condition of their oral cavity and customizing a home care routine that will improve their dental appointments and longevity of their teeth.

When Kara isn’t working with Dr. Homan she is adjunct faculty at Iowa Western Community College dental hygiene program and volunteers as a board member for the Nebraska Dental Hygienists’ Association.

Kara enjoys reading, snuggling their 2 dogs, DIY home renovations and traveling. One of the goals she and her husband have is to spend time in every state in the U.S.
